Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC)
Attendees will learn how to recognize a victim of human or sex trafficking; understand what services are the most beneficial, what is available in your county and the State of Indiana, and how your colleagues are tackling this difficult industry. Indiana is making strides in addressing this issue statewide. The current status of legislation will be discussed, together with the system response. Our speakers include Judge Kimberly Dowling, a pioneer in bringing education on the topic statewide with a focus on the importance of judicial intervention, prevention and appropriate placement and treatment alternatives, Indiana State Police Trooper Roger Logsdon, Tracy McDaniel of Restored Inc., an intervention and advocate specialist for victims, and Dr. Robyn Eubank, Director of Psychological Services at Youth Opportunity Center, Muncie Indiana, who will run the new YOC facility specializing in placement and treatment of victims of commercial sexual exploitation opening in fall 2016.
This is an important event for law enforcement, teachers, community youth workers, clergy, parents, EVERYONE! We need you there! Please make plans to attend.
